Can a mediator look into my case before the expiry of e-Negotiation?

Last updated 31 Jul 2026

A mediator will only be assigned after the e‑Negotiation stage has ended. This applies to all cases undergoing e-Negotiation and ensures that parties are given the sufficient time to resolve the claim(s) amicably with one another.

By giving parties time and space to resolve issues early, e‑Negotiation can shorten the overall time needed to resolve the dispute and reduce the need to repeat the same information if the case goes to mediation.

If the dispute remains unresolved after e‑Negotiation has concluded, a mediator will then be assigned to review the case and begin mediation.
