At the inaugural Tripartite Connect 2025, SMEs explored how safe, healthy, fair and progressive workplace practices can support sustainable business success.
Minister of State (MOS) for Manpower, Mr Dinesh Vasu Dash opened the event by urging SMEs to rethink what it means to succeed in today’s economy. Beyond profitability, he emphasised the need to build workplaces where employees feel safe, valued and empowered.
MOS Dinesh also announced a new partnership between the WSH Council and insurer Singlife that offers a 10 percent discount on group insurance premiums for companies enrolled in the Total WSH Programme. This win-win arrangement brings both cost savings for employers and better health outcomes for employees. Read more from MOS Dinesh’s speech.
Chairman of the Tripartite Alliance Limited, Mr Bob Tan, highlighted the strength of Singapore’s tripartite model, where employers, unions and the government work together to develop solutions that benefit both businesses and workers. Read more from Mr Tan’s speech.
City Developments Limited (CDL) shared how safety is fully integrated into its procurement and contractor engagement strategies. Galmon spoke about winning clients’ trust through its strong safety track record, while NTUC and ASME encouraged SMEs to tap available resources and support and to involve workers actively in WSH.
The second dialogue session, “Creating Harmonious Workplaces: Why Grievance Handling Matters under the Workplace Fairness Act”, explored why grievance handling matters under the Workplace Fairness Act which will come into force by 2027. Leaders from On Cheong Company Pte Ltd and Call Lade Enterprises Pte Ltd shared how trust, transparency and tailored communication help resolve workplace concerns early. Singtel and NTUC highlighted how HR and unions can enable more inclusive and resilient teams.
