Having good workplace mental well-being boosts productivity and can have positive outcomes for both people and organisations.

Work can value-add to our mental well-being as it provides a source of purpose, achievement, and camaraderie. However, in reverse, workplace stressors such as increased work demands, evolving work processes, blurred work-life boundaries, and poor relationships with colleagues and/or supervisors can also strain employees’ well-being by eroding their motivation and productivity, harming their mental health.

Around one in seven people in Singapore experienced a mental disorder in their lifetime and international studies have suggested that work stressors were among factors associated with poor mental health.
