The WSH Influencer programme seeks to sustain a progressive safety and health culture through peer engagement.

Programme Overview

The Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Influencer programme supports the building of a WSH culture across all levels of the organisation. In this programme, peers are empowered by their organisation to lead by example and encourage positive WSH behaviour. The WSH Influencers can engage both colleagues in their workplace or peers in their industry.

Who May Apply

The WSH Influencer programme is open to all organisations that wish to formally create a team of safety and health peer influencers. If your organisation has already established some form of members’ or employees’ participation in WSH, do let us know so that we can recognise your efforts.

As a participating organisation, you will:

  • Receive an Acknowledgement of Participation in the form of an e-Certificate;
  • Join an exclusive community of organisations that actively promote member and employee involvement in WSH; and
  • Gain opportunities to share and learn some of the industry's best practices in WSH.

Programme Details

An important part of the WSH Influencer programme involves identifying suitable representatives from each level of the organisation (senior leadership, line or team management, and workers or members) and then empowering them to engage their peers to improve WSH across the organisation or industry. Potential WSH Influencers are those who are:

  • Passionate about WSH; and
  • Role models in WSH behaviour and reinforce positive WSH behaviours in their networks.

Senior management are encouraged to lead by example by being the first WSH Influencer of the organisation. WSH Influencers will lead by example by demonstrating safe and health behaviours. This will enhance WSH behaviours throughout the organisation, which will in turn establish a good foundation for positive WSH culture.

As each organisation has its own specific needs, you have the freedom to set your own expectations, deliverables, KPIs and training plan for your WSH Influencers.
