25 Mar 2026 Announcements
The Ministry of Manpower has released the National Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) statistics for 2025. Singapore’s performance improved, with the workplace fatal injury rate declining to a record low of 0.96 per 100,000 workers. The workplace major injury rate also fell to an all-time low of 15.7 per 100,000 workers (excluding platform workers). These achievements place Singapore’s workplaces among the safest globally. The WSH Council has prepared a WSH Advisory based on the fatalities that occurred in the second half of 2025[1,2]. Eleven workplace fatalities[3] have been grouped into four incident categories, with recommendations tailored to address each incident type.
We urge all employers, supervisors and workers to learn from these incidents, adopt the recommendations, and remain vigilant as workplace risks continue to evolve.
