WSH Advisory for Fatal Accidents in First Half of 2025

30 Sep 2025 Announcements

The Ministry of Manpower has released the National WSH statistics for the first half of 2025. The annualised workplace fatal injury rate per 100,000 workers was 0.92, compared to 1.0 in 1H2024, reflecting continued progress to make Singapore workplaces among the safest in the world.

The WSH Council has prepared a WSH Advisory based on the fatalities occurred in 1H2025. There were 17 workplace fatalities in 1H2025; these included three work-related traffic accidents and two separate incidents involving compressed gas cylinders, which were earlier reported on 6 August.

The advisory covers the remaining 12 workplace fatalities grouped into four incident categories. It highlights the risks involved and provides recommendations to help companies prevent similar accidents from happening again. We urge employers, supervisors and workers to learn from these incidents and adopt the recommendations to prevent future incidents from occurring.
