Public Consultation for WSH Guidelines for Delivery Services Industry

28 Oct 2022 Announcements

Consumers have benefited from greater convenience with the growth in food, grocery, and e-commerce delivery.  However, there are safety risks for people involved in delivery work, especially those riding motorcycles, bicycles and Power-Assisted Bicycles (PABs).  Providing a safe and healthy working environment can improve the well-being, morale, and productivity of these self-employed persons and employees in the delivery service industry.

In view of the above, the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Council, together with tripartite stakeholders in the delivery services industry, formed a workgroup to discuss and develop a set of WSH Guidelines for the industry. This set of guidelines augments the 2018 Guide to Safe Riding by providing recommendations on what delivery companies and intermediaries can do to improve the safety and health of their delivery riders and drivers.

The draft WSH Guidelines for Delivery Services Industry is open for feedback and comments from 28 October to 25 November 2022. Email the completed Feedback Form to contact@wshc.sg. We look forward to your valuable feedback. Thank you.
