Managing Fire Risks and Hazards in Buildings

On 26 November 2025, a massive fire broke out at a residential high-rise complex in Hong Kong’s Tai Po district. The WSH Council extends our deepest condolences to the affected residents of the tragic fire at the Wang Fuk Court housing complex. The risk of fire exists at every stage of a building’s lifecycle, such as during construction, occupancy and renovation. We urge companies to prioritise fire safety.
