At the first Community of Practice (CoP) for Top Executives in the Transportation & Storage (T&S) industry, close to 40 top executives, contractors, and business partners discussed matters on advancing workplace safety and health (WSH) within the eco-system.  

A sharing on common lapses and learning points by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) served as a curtain-raiser for subsequent discussions. WSH and industry leaders from MOM, WSH Council, Container Depot and Logistics Association (Singapore), and the Singapore Logistics Association, discussed with participants the organisational values needed to ensure a safe and healthy workplace. They emphasised the importance of caring for each other, and taking ownership of mental well-being at the workplace.  

The CoP serves as a peer-learning platform for industry leaders to share experiences, address common challenges, and drive improvements in WSH. It aims to foster a culture where safety is championed at every level of the organisation and integrated into daily business practices. At the end of the session, participants were encouraged to apply lessons learnt within their organisations, lead by example, and inspire others to put safety and health at the heart of their operations.
