Transportation and Storage Industry Vision Zero
About the T&S Vision Zero
Workers in the Transportation and Storage (T&S) industry operate in a dynamic and high-risk environment, where activities such as driving, loading and unloading, and logistics operations are integral to daily business. The industry faces key workplace safety and health (WSH) risks, including vehicular incidents, slips, trips and falls, and ergonomics-related injuries. Ensuring the safety, health and well-being of workers is critical to sustaining safe and reliable operations across the supply chain.
Vision Zero (VZ) is the belief that all workplace-related injuries and ill-health are preventable, and that zero harm is possible. Four main trade associations had pledged their commitment to collectively promulgate Vision Zero to more than 1,000 association members and to create the Vision Zero Cluster for the T&S industry. This cluster aims to reinforce the WSH ownership among companies in the industry and support them to achieve better WSH performance.
