The event comprises:

  • A commemorative video which delves into Mr Lee Kuan Yew’s involvement with the union and workers disputes in the 1950s, highlights the close working relationship of Mr Lee and the tripartite partners since the formative years, and demonstrates how Mr Lee developed one of the world’s most successful tripartite systems in Singapore. The video features interviews with key leaders on Mr Lee’s legacy and lasting impact on unions and employers till today.
  • Panel discussions with eminent past tripartite leaders who will share their personal stories about their interactions with Mr Lee, and how he has helped shape their views on protecting the interests of the workers, tackling labour-management relations and setting the vision for a better future for Singapore.
