About the workshop

It is important that employment contracts start and end fairly and responsibly. Every HR professional and business owner must understand obligations and rights of both parties during separation.

This half-day workshop will focus on the salient features of dismissal and retrenchment together with the sharing of best practices involved.

About the Trainer

Tripartite Alliance for Dispute Management

Lau Weng Hong was with the Ministry of Manpower for more than 35 years and during this period, he held various appointments including Deputy Director (Labour Relations), Senior Consultant & Conciliator (IR), Head of Tripartite Promotion Unit and Assistant Commissioner for Labour at the former Labour Court dealing with employment disputes under the Employment Act. Over the last 20 years, he was involved in many tripartite committees including the Tripartite Taskforce on Wage Restructuring and Tripartite Committee on Employability of Older Workers. With his extensive experience on labour relations and industrial relations, he is able to advise employers and trade unions on the application of various employment laws, tripartite advisories and guidelines.
